Must visit - London

We celebrated our business birthday with a trip to London πŸŽ‰ Copious warm pints, incredible food, anything iced, sweaty tubes and laughs.

Deciding on where to eat for this one was tricky. A lot has changed in London since I lived there and that included the incredible food scene. We've added a list below of places we ate, things you have to try and little finds along the way!

@bigjobakery - we ordered pretty much most of the menu and recommend you do the same. Seasonal #smallplates for everyone to try over a glass of IPA. If laid back is what you're looking for give here a try. We also went against the β€˜rules’ of how to eat, ice cream to start – you wont regret it.

@the_griffin_shoreditch - a proper Shoreditch pub. We came across this gem when we were too early for our lunch booking and it's firmly on our revisit list. If the English weather is good to you sit by the open shutters and grab yourself a London Spritz!

@leroyshoreditch - our birthday treat. We've been obsessed with the plates shared across Leroy and it DID NOT disappoint. We ate pretty much the whole menu and don't regret a thing. Our must try was the peaches, mozzarella and culatello di zibello. The setting was simple and minamilsitic a way to let the food do the talking and a vinyl selection that flows in tune with its guests and the restaurant.

@somsaa_london - not your run of the mill cocktails and a sharing menu (Tem Toh) to die for. Do not miss out on their infamous seabass, whole deep fried with issan herbs roasted rice and a lime and toasted chilli dressing. A personal highlight was the pink pomello salad, fresh, flavoursome – this salad should not be forgotten about.

@coaldropsyard - stick around kings cross! For too many years I thought as soon as I arrived from the North East I was best off hopping on the tube and getting out, I was wrong. This gem is a short walk from the station and full of amazing places to eat, drink and shop - lots of independents and British brands. Read about the history and make sure you take a walk along the canal.

@linastores - a small chain providing a light lunch of plates and Italian beer. Sea Bream Crudo was a personal favourite - also check out their delicatessen. Perfect for what we were looking for before we headed back home.
